我愛你們愛到熱情如火；你們要經常記著這點。我帶動人到‹生命›裡去，我不厭棄任何人－罪人或不義的人，你們所有的人都是我的孩子。我的訊息是一個‹愛›的‹訊息›，一個叫你們回到你們真正的根基的召喚、一個有關我的聖言和我的存在的提醒。你們不要怕我，你們要害怕那假裝不存在的，而又是如此陰毒地把你們帶到‹死亡›去的那一位。我是‹光明›。

1. Vassula's Visit to Lebanon

“Saint George, who died as a martyr, will protect you from all evils; he is by your side and guards you; he will pray so that your thoughts would be focused on heavenly things.” (TLIG, 24 April 1998)
I would like to begin the report on this trip with this quotation from the Messages, as it seemed to all of us that Saint George’s presence and protection were frequently manifest through small signs during the three days of our stay in Lebanon. While visiting the monasteries dedicated to St. George or when meeting Lebanese with that glorious name, « the Great Martyr », as he is called by Oriental Christians, he was indeed there to accompany us.

Upon our arrival in Beirut, we were welcomed by Yolla and her daughter Jennifer and were joined shortly after by Georges Chabab. Right away, we went downtown for lunch in a restaurant where the tastes of East and West are wonderfully fused, where tradition and innovation harmonize perfectly. There we met a few Lebanese TLIG readers who told us about their faith and their experience of God. We listened with interest to the testimony of a young musician and composer, Abdo Sadek, who plays piano in a Beirut pub. He told us about a very special experience of the presence and manifestation of the Holy Spirit. On an ordinary working evening while he was playing, he was suddenly overcome with a kind of lethargy; he was without inspiration and very tired. He stopped for a moment to quite simply pray to the Lord: “O Lord, tonight I really do not feel like playing, I am tired, please help me.” From that moment, and to his utter surprise, he began to play as he had never played before. His fingers were flying over the keyboard as if someone else was playing in his place, as if invisible hands had taken control of his own, playing music that seemed to come from somewhere else, so beautiful it was. Everybody complimented him, telling him how he had played exceptionally well that evening.
The account of this occurrence reminded Vassula of a similar one which she experienced at the beginning of her conversion. I take the liberty of sharing it, as I had never heard of it before and it seems to me that it can teach us something important. When Vassula was still living in Pully, Switzerland, a priest came to visit her. He asked her if he could say Mass in her home. Vassula agreed quite willingly. That day, she too was very tired and could not concentrate on the Biblical readings; she was easily distracted, her thoughts wandering elsewhere. So, she could not remember one word of that day’s reading. Then, just her luck, the priest asked her for a short commentary on the Word that had just been read! Oops! How would she manage? Vassula was rather embarrassed. How was she going to talk about a Gospel reading to which she had not been listening to? What could she say if she did not’t even know what the subject was? Nevertheless, she put her trust in the Holy Spirit, and suddenly she heard herself speak as if it was someone else speaking. That is to say, it was her own lips that were moving and her own vocal chords that were vibrating, but she was not the one who set them in motion. It was as if she were hearing herself speak from the outside. ( that reminds me a little of the way in which the Lord dictates His Messages). Moreover, she was speaking in perfect French, in a way she would never have been able to express herself. At the end of her discourse, the priest was quite impressed and astonished by the beauty of the commentary and he thanked Vassula warmly.
Whether is it Abdo’s experience or Vassula’s, both give witness that the Spirit is always present in our moments of difficulty or weariness and that when we invoke Him with trust, He takes hold of our faculties, perfects them and allows us to give glory to God: “do not say: "where, where shall we find sufficient power and fortitude to glorify God?" My marvels lie in the Spirit, Invisible, yet visible through His powerful action, Inaccessible to the touch yet all around you and within you.” (TLIG 19 June 1995)
In the afternoon we visited various local monasteries and met with monks in friendly and brotherly exchanges. The next morning, after attending Divine Liturgy, we went to St. George’s Orthodox Church in Bsalim.

News bulletin for 2nd week May 2012
Dear Listeners, you are listening to True Life in God Radio and here is the news.
"Following a True Life in God retreat in Poland between 16th and 25th April entitled “Obstacles to Holiness” the people have returned home refreshed, challenged and so grateful to Our Lord and Our Lady for all that they received through this wonderful retreat. The days included Holy Mass, TLIG prayer group, exposition and healing prayers and amazing talks on the theme of “Obstacles to Holiness” given by Father John Abberton and Sister Seraphim. The retreat included three whole day trips and the first was to the Shrine of our Lady at Czestochowa, where Father John said Mass in the Chapel just beside the main part of the Shrine, and afterward, pilgrims had the immense privilege of venerating the miraculous icon of Our Lady; another visit was to Krakow, where Father John said Mass in the Shrine of Divine Mercy and where visitors venerated the holy relics of Saint Faustina.
On the final day of the retreat they enjoyed an amazing visit to Litmanova where our Lady appeared to two children in 1995 as Our Lady of Immaculate Purity. Father John said Mass in the little Chapel, which has been built in this remote location just over the border in Slovakia and where pilgrims are able to venerate the bench where Our Lady sat when she appeared there. The local priest who looks after the Holy Shrine was very hospitable to the True Life in God group and especially grateful to be able to converse with Fr John and Sr Seraphim.
Holiness comes in living a true life in God; In asking for our total surrender Jesus says “let me do it and I will mould you”. The Lord says “be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect”. With the fire of the Holy Spirit the Lord changes us from rock into diamonds. Holiness consists of receiving divine life in Christ communicated from Father to Son and to us through the Holy Eucharist.
Obstacles to holiness include: unforgiveness, spiritual deception and lack of discernment (Pope Paul V1 said discernment is the Queen of gifts). Also included are lack of reading or praying the Holy Scriptures, disregarding Holy Inspirations, unconfessed mortal sin and habitual venial sin, not recognising the Priesthood of Christ in the Laity, disregarding the Message of Our Lady of Fatima, and not calling on our Guardian Angels for help often enough. These were some of the obstacles on which pilgrims received teaching during this blessed retreat.
We pray dear listeners that all these gifts of the Holy Spirit so lavishly poured out on our generation may bear much fruit for Our Lord and better equip His Apostles of the end times for what ever challenges may lie ahead. Sincere thanks go to the organisers of this retreat, to the whole team and all who took part, who were blessed on the final evening by a double rainbow just in front of the retreat house. We praise and thank God for the retreat in Poland and pray that He will use each one to further His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
Finally dear listeners, the news that in our next bulletin we hope to be telling you about a further retreat in Egypt which took place last week.

5. A Hurricane of Fire...Fukushima?
There has been alarming news on the internet (http://www.fairewinds.com/ content/fukushima-daiichi- truth-and-future) and especially in alternative news channels about the situation at Fukushima in Japan. Some speculation has been around the spent nuclear fuel rod pool # 4. I will leave this to the readers to use Google and investigate this if interested. Being aware of such things should inspire you to pray harder. You can also Google, Dr. J Rand Mcnally Nuclear Scientist and see a variety of links to messages from Akita Japan, also mentioned in True Life in God:
in the meantime while your oppressors will be rejoicing, My seventh angel will empty his bowl into the air, igniting the whole atmosphere into fire3 see

After sending Vasula some articles on the Fukushima nuclear disaster, and asking her about Dr Mcnally, Vassula wrote recently to this editor the following:
"Rand McNally absolutely wanted to meet me and talk to me. He was a good Catholic and had experienced our Lady's warnings to him personally to stop his scientific project of a nuclear bomb that ignites the atmosphere and burns the entire earth in 6 minutes. He flew from Nashville where he resided to meet me in Indiana at the college of Notre Dame and asked me: "Am I the man?" He meant who will destroy the earth by fire? He had read the TLIG message and recognized the name of that bomb: Hurricane of Fire, that's what the scientist named it.
Jesus was wailing for us to repent, if not we will be burnt by a hurricane of fire, warning us that Satan is preparing a great holocaust.To tell you my opinion? We will not avoid the fire from heaven if it is natural or scientific, because there is no repentance heard and after all we are destined for this fire. Read Peters * (see editor's note-below) in the bible. However, our Lady and Jesus are trying their best to at least diminish it. But the Father's wrath will say one day: "Enough!" ** (see note below)
Do you see any changes of the people of the world to the better or to the worse? The politicians are greedy and corrupt and are governing the earth leading it into chaos, worshipping Mammon. There is no faith anymore in many, no justice any more, the justice is on the side only of the very rich and powerful. "Fastidious" was the word expressed by the Father in the past.
The Churches are unwilling to reconcile and unite as Jesus is asking out of pride, ego and lack of humility. In their incredulity and their rationalistic spirit they turn a deaf ear to all heaven's warnings without exception, but making sure to wipe away each prophet that become a thorn in their side but who declares the truth; they never learn from their past mistakes but hold their earthly scepter tight in their hand and govern the faithful with fear and their sort of 'obedience' when they themselves are fully disobeying God's Word and their own Canon law. Many of them have become too pompous with their earthy glory and self-reassurance, abusing their power, and you want God to be silent and not burn the earth?
God will allow man to take the wrong decisions and destroy themselves with fire, this is how he allowed Judas and the Pharisees to crucify Christ, however, Jeus Christ reassures us of his mercy and he will indeed spare those that cling to him and are his.
