近幾年，隨著產業環境的改變，「優退」已經不再是個新名詞，但是已轉變為「強迫優先退休」，各個行業的資深上班族都可能面對這個問題，甚至是過去稱為金飯碗公務人員、銀行行員等，也無一倖免。
以政府組織為例，預估隨著明年元月組織改造上路，屆時退休制度一定也會變革，退休俸可能不像以前優渥，所以今年公務人員將出現大批的退休人潮。

而銀行業經過這幾年的購併、組織改造，也持續進行優退，像是三商銀、中信銀員工平均退休年齡降到四○歲以下。其他如科技業、媒體業等，甚至學術研究機構也都鼓勵優退，希望降低員工平均年齡，不僅讓組織年輕化，更直接的好處是降低資深員工帶來的人力成本。

所以有媒體指出，過去二、三、四年級生，往往在十八歲左右就開始工作，到六○歲退休時，上班生涯已超過四○年，但是優退風興起，現在三、四○多歲的五年級生，已變成主要優退對象，而六、七年級生，在高學歷的趨勢下，通常到二十四歲才開始工作，未來卻可能不到四○歲就必須退休，每個人的工作壽命大縮短成十五年，可憐的上班族必須在有限的工作生涯中，設法賺到一輩子所需要的錢！

有一天......一個失戀的人在公園哭泣..

這時一位哲學家走來...

輕聲的問他說"你怎麼啦?為何哭的如此傷心"

失戀的人回答說"嗚~~我好難過為何他要離我而去"

不料這為哲學家卻哈哈大笑.並說"你真笨"

失戀的人便很生氣的說"你怎麼這樣.我失戀了.已經很難過.

你不安慰我就算了你還罵我"

哲學家回答他說"傻瓜...這跟本就不用難過啊....

真正該難過的是他

因為你只是失去了一個不愛你的人..

而他卻是失去了"一個愛他的人及愛人的能力"

到岸不需船-有位媳婦，每次煎魚，都把頭尾剁掉，婆婆看在眼裡，憋在心裡。終於有一天，婆婆實在憋不住了，假裝不經意地問：「煎魚為何要去頭去尾？」媳婦毫不遲疑道：「我娘家都是這麼做，可能是傳統吧！」婆婆只好笑道：「你下次回娘家，問問你媽媽，看他知不知道原因。」媳婦心想婆婆急著要答案，便打電話回娘家，一問之下，連她自己都不好意思。原來，當時因為鍋子小，不去頭去尾煎不下，想不到換了大鍋卻忘了原因，舊習慣一直沿襲下來。

某次，英國軍事演習，各國使節觀閱。一位美國將軍對發炮時，先有一軍士跨一步，然後雙手由上而下重重一拉的動作，百思不得其解，乃就教英國將軍。這位將軍吟道：「歷年來一直如此。」顯然也不清楚典故，只好一齊去向一位老將軍討教。老將軍回憶道：「很久很久以前，炮是由馬拖運，發炮時怕馬驚嚇亂竄，必須將馬拉緊……」結果是，早就改為汽車拖運了，這個動作卻莫名所以地保留下來。

既然到了岸上，為何還把船扛著在陸上行走呢？

既然有機會能夠同時創造時間自由與財務自由，為什麼你/妳不試著讓自己解脫呢
