Blue have confirmed they are getting back together and will play a live gig in the summer.

There have been rumours the boyband would reunite for some time and this morning they told Capital FM they were true.

“We’re absolutely so ecstatic to be back together,” Duncan James said. “We met up a couple of weeks ago to talk about it and we are so excited. I think we’re going to enjoy it even more the second time round.”

Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa and Simon Webbe sold seven million albums and four million singles before going their separate ways in 2005.

They all launched solo careers, with Simon’s being the most successful. Duncan took part in Dancing On Ice, has acted and tried his hand at TV presenting, while Simon and Antony both took part in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

The foursome will play Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at London’s Emirates Stadium on June 7 but refused to tell DJs Johnny Vaughn and Lisa Snowdon if they would release any new material.

“We don’t want to give anything away,” Simon said.
