精神上的櫥窗購物者

These spiritual windowshoppers, who idly ask,

“How much is that? Oh, I’m just looking.”

They handle a hundred items and put them down,

shadows with no capital.

這些精神上的櫥窗購物者，他們閒散地問道：

「那個要多少錢？噢，我只是看看而已。」

他們拿起一百個商品然後又放下，

一群沒有實體的影子。

What is spent is love and two eyes wet with weeping.

But these walk into a shop,

and their whole lives pass suddenly in that moment,

in that shop.

要付出的是愛和一雙淚濕的眼睛。

但這些人走進店裡，

他們的整個一生在那一刻突然流過，

就在那店裡。

Where did you go?

Nowhere.

What did you have to eat?

Nothing much.

Even if you don’t know what you want,

buy something to be part of the general exchange.

你去了哪裡？

什麼地方也沒去。

你有什麼東西吃？

沒有很多。

即使你不知道你想要什麼，

也要買點一般常交易的東西。

Start a huge, foolish project, like Noah.

It makes absolutely no difference what people think of you.
