〈民政治理公告第27號〉：給琉球群島人民「琉球群島地理邊界」

為符合1951年9月8日〈對日和約〉之條款，且1953年12月25日〈日本與美國有關庵美群島之協議〉，亟需重新劃分美國民政治理與琉球群島政府迄今民政治理所頒佈之公告、條例與指令之地理疆界。

因此，本人DAVID A. D. OGDEN，美國陸軍少將、琉球群島副行政長官，在此公告如下：

第1條

美國琉球群島民政治理與琉球群島政府之領土管轄以下各點為端點，重新劃分下述群島、小島、環礁與暗礁以及領海：

北緯28度、東經124.40'；

北緯24度、東經122度；

北緯24度、東經133度；

北緯27度、東經131.50’ ；

北緯27度、東經128.18’ ；

北緯28度、東經128.18’ ；

第2條

美國琉球群島民政治理先前有關建立疆界或對之行使管轄權之公告、條例與指令或其他規定，應修正以符合此公告。

第3條

本公告於1953年12月25日生效。

CIVIL ADMINISTRATION PROCLAMATION NO. 27

GEOGRAPHICAL BOUNDARIES OF THE RYUKYU ISLANDS

TO THE PEOPLE OF THE RYUKYU ISLANDS

WHEREAS, in conformity with the terms of the Japanese Treaty of Peace, signed 8 September 1951, and the Agreement between Japan and the United States of America concerning the Amami Islands, effective 25 December 1953, it is deemed necessary to redesignate the geographic boundaries of the United States Civil Administration and the Government of the Ryukyu Islands as heretofore set forth in the Proclamations, Ordinances and Directives of this Civil Administration

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DAVID A. D. OGDEN, Major General , United States Army, Deputy Governor of The Ryukyu Islands, do hereby proclaim:

Article I

The territorial Jurisdiction of the United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands, and the Government of the Ryukyu Islands are redesignated as all of those islands, islets, atolls and rocks and territorial waters within the following geographic boundaries:

28 North Latitude, 124.40' East Longitude; thence

24 North Latitude, 122 East Longitude; thence

24 North Latitude, 133 East, Longitude; thence

27 North Latitude, 131.50’ East Longitude; thence

27 North Latitude, 128.18’ East Longitude; thence

28 North Latitude, 128.18’ East Longitude; thence

to the point of origin.

Article II

United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands Proclamations, Ordinances, Directives, Orders or other regulations establishing boundaries or effecting jurisdiction beyond the boundaries set forth in the preceding Article are hereby amended to conform thereto.

Article III

The effective date of this Proclamation is the 25th day of December, 1953.
