CDEP: is founded by Dr.Peter Li since 2003, based in Phnom Penh , Cambodia . Objective: It aims to contribute in development of Cambodia by: l Educating people with appropriate knowledge and skill. l Working with village for livelihood improvement and empowering women and young people to take more assertive role in livelihood improvement. Plans & Activities: 1. Education for rural children l Recruit & Arrange volunteer teachers to teach in the elementary school. l Provide dormitory and support education fee for 10~15 kids to stay in Phnom Penh and go to senior high school and university. 2. Construction and Operating Graphis Health Center l Arrange volunteer doctors & nurses to provide medical services from time to time l Build up Health Center to provide medical supports and resources to rural side. l Provide & Donate medicine to Graphis Health Center 3. Set up Emergency Medical Services l Provide & Emergency Vehicles for Health Center ---–One rescue truck donated from Japan and one refurbished ambulance sponsored by Australian Rotary Club. l In Phnom Penh we worked with different partners and operate 8 ambulances for EMS l Train local persons to build up rescue team and provide rescue services 24 hours. l Provide correct rescue courses and knowledge. 4. Sustainable Living with Appropriate Technology l Pico-hydropower and Wind- The three natural creeks are suitable for haressing hydropower. In addition, the site is situated along the base of the mountain; the natural wind potential is also being harness and store. You can learn technique of hydro and wind power generation and storage. l Forestry Conservation- Natural forest conservation and agro-forestry technique is introduced to the students. l Agriculture- Agriculture plays essential roles in every developing country. An emphasis on natural and organic agriculture is taught and demonstrated. l Pig Farm and Biogas (methane-CH4)- The facility has a small pig farm with pigs numbering from 30 to a maximum number of 50 pigs. There is a 20 cubic meters bio-digester on site capable of producing enough biogas for the facility daily energy requirement; cooking and electricity generation. l Water Conservation- Conserving is another essential component of sustainable living. The facility conserves and recycles all water usage. It shows simple technique to reuse and recycle water for daily activities. l Volunteers & Donation--- 1.
